The 3rd international conference on problems of the Black Sea region entitled "The Odesa Debate" has been canceled because of the complicated epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the coronavirus, Odesa Regional State Administration's press service has told Ukrinform.
"The organizers have decided to postpone for an indefinite period the third international conference 'The Odesa Debate,' which was to take place on March 12-13, at the Bristol Hotel, because of the complicated epidemiological situation," spokesperson for the regional administration's chairman Denys Sokolov said.
According to him, those invited to the conference were U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Dalius Cekuolis, Political Director in the Danish Foreign Ministry Christina Lassen, as well as other diplomats and politicians.
