Ukraine's public and publicly guaranteed debt in January 2020 increased by UAH 80.72 billion in the hryvnia equivalent and decreased by $0.94 billion in the U.S. dollar equivalent, the press service of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry has reported.
"As of January 31, 2020, Ukraine's public and publicly guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 2.079 trillion or $83.43 billion, including public and publicly guaranteed foreign debt - UAH 1.248 trillion (60.05% of gross public and publicly guaranteed debt) or $50.1 billion; public and publicly guaranteed domestic debt - UAH 830.59 billion (39.95%) or $33.33 billion," the report reads.
Ukraine's public debt amounted to UAH 1.833 trillion (88.14% of gross public and publicly guaranteed debt) or $73.54 billion.
Public foreign debt amounted to UAH 1.011 trillion (48.64% of gross public and publicly guaranteed debt) or $40.58 billion.
Public domestic debt amounted to UAH 821.22 billion (39.50% of gross public and publicly guaranteed debt) or $32.95 billion.
Ukraine's publicly guaranteed amounted to UAH 246.5 billion (11.86%) or $9.89 billion, including publicly guaranteed foreign debt - UAH 237.14 billion (11.41%) or $9.52 billion; publicly guaranteed domestic debt - UAH 9.36 billion (0.45%) or $0.38 billion.
Ukraine's public and publicly guaranteed debt in 2019 decreased by 7.84% in the hryvnia equivalent and increased by 7.71% in the U.S. dollar equivalent.
