The so-called Steinmeier formula has been set out in a joint document and there are no disagreements between Ukraine and Russia in this regard, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has said.
"There are no differences. The Steinmeier formula has been set out in a joint letter of the foreign ministers of Germany and France. There is a common document that can be read," Prystaiko told journalists on Wednesday, September 18, when asked about differences between Kyiv and Moscow regarding the "Steinmeier formula."

Earlier, Prystaiko said that the "Steinmeier formula" regarding the effect of the law on a special status for Donbas and the disengagement of troops at three sections had been discussed and agreed on at a meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries.

He said that the Normandy Four advisers had agreed on a specific text, which states that the law on a special status for Donbas preliminarily comes into force at the time of elections there and finally, this law comes into force when the OSCE/ODIHR decides that the elections have taken place in accordance with high OSCE standards. In addition, Prystaiko noted that the second proposal in the decision of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries at a meeting on September 2 was the disengagement of troops at three sections in Donbas.

On September 13, Prystaiko said that the Ukrainian authorities were considering holding local elections throughout the country, including in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the "Steinmeier formula" and all points of the Minsk Agreements would be considered at the Normandy Four summit.

At the same time, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that at the Normandy format summit it is necessary to record on paper "cast-iron agreements" on the disengagement of troops in Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrovske, a special status for Donbas and the so-called Steinmeier formula.
