The first Ukrainian telemedicine center has been opened at the Odesa Regional Clinical Hospital.
“Today, we open not only the regional telemedicine center but we also launch a network of emergency consultations, which provides doctors with a new powerful high-tech working tool,” Chairperson of the Odesa Regional State Administration Svitlana Shatalova said at the opening ceremony, the Administration’s press service reports.
According to her, the telemedicine consulting rooms can be found in the reception and diagnostic departments of 35 district and city hospitals and 19 medical institutions of regional subordination. This network allows to remotely organize a council of doctors, both in emergency and in a planned manner, to save the lives of patients and to solve complex diagnostic tasks.
