The World Bank remains a reliable partner for Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote on his Twitter account following a conversation with Axel van Trotsenburg, World Bank Managing Director of Operations.
“Productive conversation with the World bank team and Axel van Trotsenburg. Main topics: combating against COVID-19, procurement of vaccines, transformation of coal regions, land and other reforms,” he wrote, Ukrinform reports.
Shmyhal added that the World Bank remains a reliable partner for Ukraine.
“World Bank remains a reliable partner for Ukraine and we are ready to expand our cooperation,” Shmyhal wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, in 2021, Ukraine’s State Agency of Automobile Roads (Ukravtodor) will start a joint project with the World Bank and the European Investment Bank to restore roads in Luhansk region. The same cooperation may be extended to Donetsk region in the near future.
