Since the beginning of the year, Zhytomyr region has increased its exports to Indonesia by nine times, according to the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration.
“The volume of export of goods to Indonesia for eight months of this year amounted to USD 71.7 thousand and increased by almost nine times compared to the same period in 2019. Ninety-nine percent of exports were timber and wood products,” the report says.

On the other hand, Zhytomyr region reduced imports from Indonesia by 46.1%. The volume of imports for eight months of 2020 amounted to USD 53.7 thousand. The largest share of imports accounted for electric cars (35%) and special fabrics (30%).

In 2019, the foreign trade turnover of the region's enterprises with Indonesia amounted to USD 2.4 million; 99.6% of exports were grain crops.
