Ukraine’s No.1 tennis player Elina Svitolina dropped from the fifth to the sixth spot in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) updated on September 14.
Svitolina with 4,580 points is behind Naomi Osaka from Japan (5,780), who won the U.S. Open and became No.3 tennis player in the world, Ukrinform reports.
Dayana Yastremska dropped four positions and currently occupies 29th place. Kateryna Kozlova climbed to the 97th spot, Marta Kostiuk climbed to the 119th spot, and Kateryna Bondarenko to the 284th spot.
Ukraine’s Katarina Zavatska ranks 112th (-4), Lesia Tsurenko is 137th (-5), Angelina Kalinina is 152nd (-7) and Daryna Snigur is 219th (-1).
WTA ranking is headed by Ashleigh Barty from Australia (8,717 points). She is followed by Simona Halep from Romania (6,356 points).
