President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the National Strategy for Building Safe and Healthy Education Environment in Ukrainian schools.
The relevant decree, No.195/2020, has been published on the president’s website.
It notes that the strategy is aimed at ensuring “the observance of the constitutional rights and freedoms of the child, guarantees for child protection, realization of children's rights to education, safe for life and health educational environment, preservation and strengthening of health of the younger generation."
According to the strategy, the Cabinet of Ministers will annually approve an action plan to implement this strategy.
The strategy is to be implemented during 2020-2024 by joint efforts of relevant state government bodies, local government agencies and the public.
