Shakhtar Donetsk is preparing for its first match after a lockdown pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, the club's press service has reported.
"While expecting the Ukrainian Championship resumption decision, the Miners have been training on a daily basis. On the morning of May 21, the full Shakhtar squad gathered at the Sviatoshyn suburban complex. The ninety-minute session was aimed at practicing defensive and offensive teamwork," the report reads.
On May 24, Shakhtar will play a friendly match with Rukh Lviv. The exclusive live stream can be watched on Shakhtar TV.
Ukraine introduced a so-called adaptive lockdown until June 22. The second phase of lockdown relaxations begins on May 22. In particular, the government allowed the holding of sports events involving up to 50 participants without spectators.
The Ukrainian Premier League is due to restart on May 30. However, media reports said that it would be postponed until June 6.
