Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has confirmed that today he will sign an order on mass EIA (enzyme immunoassay) testing, which help detect antibodies to the coronavirus infection COVID-19.
"A corresponding order on the introduction of EIA testing will be signed today. Due to EIA tests we will be able to significantly increase the number of people we will test. First, we will test people who have relevant symptoms, clinical signs of the coronavirus disease, and we offer to test all people who have been in contact with a sick person, even if they have no symptoms. Also, all risk groups include the National Police, the National Guard, and other risk groups,” Stepanov said at a briefing on May 18, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine confirmed 18,616 cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 as of May 18, including 325 new infections in the previous day.
