NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has cut the gas price for the population to UAH 2.9 per cubic meter in April 2020, according to the company’s press service.
"In April 2020, the wholesale price of natural gas for the needs of the population, heat producers and other protected consumers receiving gas from Naftogaz of Ukraine under the terms of public service obligations (PSO) fell to UAH 2.9 per cubic meter (without VAT, gas sellers’ margins and costs for gas transportation by main and distribution pipelines). This is 15% less than in March 2020,” reads the statement,

In total, the gas price for the population has fallen by 38% since January 2020.

"The decrease in gas prices for the third month in a row is a positive signal for people. Gas bills in April should decrease both due to the heating season completion and due to a decrease in the retail price of Naftogaz. As a result, I hope there will be lower burden on the budgets of Ukrainian households experiencing the negative consequences of quarantine measures,” said Andriy Kobolyev, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
