Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has said that he proposed appointing Oleksandr Shovkovskyi minister of youth and sports.
He said this live on the Fakty Tyzhnia (Facts of the Week) news program on the ICTV channel on Sunday, February 9.
Honcharuk confirmed that he had proposed the candidacy of the former Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper for the post of Ukraine's minister of youth and sports. "But we have not seriously discussed this idea yet," he said.
In 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers merged three ministries – the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Information Policy - into the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
According to the latest media reports, the Office of the President of Ukraine is considering splitting the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports into the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
