President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has set a number of tasks before the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to enhance measures preventing the spread of coronavirus to Ukraine.
“Given the announcement by the World Health Organization of a state of emergency of international importance in the field of public healthcare due to the global outbreak of a new coronavirus, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has set a number of tasks before the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to enhance measures preventing the spread of Chinese coronavirus to Ukraine,” the press service of the Head of State reports.

President Zelensky commissioned to transfer the activity of the operational staff preventing the spread of the disease to the territory of Ukraine, which operates under the Ministry of Healthcare, to the level of the Cabinet of Ministers by establishing an appropriate working group.

The Head of State also considers it necessary to develop a national plan of anti-epidemic response to the spread of 2019-nCoV involving resources not only from the Ministry of Healthcare, but also from the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Infrastructure and a number of other services and organizations.

Volodymyr Zelensky also stressed the necessity of holding measures to prevent the disease.

The Head of State emphasized that the situation with the spread of the virus was completely controlled and remained in the field of his constant attention. Currently, no cases of infection have been reported in Ukraine and there are no grounds for any emergency measures.
