Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk believes that the confidence of international partners in Ukraine is growing.
"I met with Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin. This was the first meeting of the prime ministers of Ukraine and Finland over the past five years... During the World Economic Forum, I also managed to meet with one of our strategic partners - Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki... I also had a very important meeting with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva. We discussed the implementation of preliminary measures needed to approve the Extended Fund Facility program agreed on at the working level," Honcharuk posted on Facebook following the busy agenda of the Ukrainian delegation at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
According to him, the implementation of this program means for Ukraine cheap resources for borrowings, opportunities for increasing investments in the economy, and thus – the growth of industry and new jobs.
"Another important meeting was with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti. He praised the cooperation with Ukraine in 2019, namely the success of the reforms underway and the achievement of macroeconomic stability. 2020 is the year of efficiency in Ukraine. We plan to receive EBRD support in major Ukrainian projects," Honcharuk emphasized.
According to him, Ukraine today is one of the most attractive developing economies, markets and countries.
"So I invited investors to come to Ukraine. And we, the Government, guarantee that every investor in Ukraine will get a personal approach and protection from the state," he added.
