NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has transferred UAH 8.5 billion in dividends and UAH 4.5 billion in other tax payments to the state budget ahead of schedule.
Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev wrote about this on Facebook.
“Since the beginning of the year, the Naftogaz group paid more than UAH 103.8 billion in taxes and dividends. We provided the state budget with the largest share of revenues: approximately every seventh hryvnia came to the state treasury through one of the companies of our group,” he wrote.
Kobolyev reminded in accordance with a plan jointly agreed between the Finance Ministry and Naftogaz, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on the payment of dividends for 2019 ahead of schedule: “After this decision was approved, we transferred UAH 8.5 billion of dividends and UAH 4.5 billion of other tax payments to the state. In total, we provided about UAH 20 billion in state budget revenues in December. We hope this will allow many Ukrainians to calmly and joyfully celebrate the holidays”.
As Ukrinform reported, Naftogaz Group generated UAH 21.3 billion in net profit over the first nine months of 2019, which is 27% higher than over the relevant nine-month period in 2018. Pre-tax profits over the first nine months of 2019 reached UAH 28.9 billion, which is 26% more than over the relevant period last year.
In January-September 2019, Naftogaz Group paid UAH 83.7 billion in taxes and dividends, which made up nearly 15% of overall budget revenues this year. In January-November 2019, this indicator reached UAH 96.8 billion.
