Kharkiv International Airport increased its passenger flow by 39% in January-November 2019, handling more than 1.2 million passengers on domestic and international flights.
This data has been provided by the press service of the airport, which a part of DCH Group owned by businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky.
The dynamic expansion of the route network allowed the airport to increase the number of serviced flights to 5,138 in January-November 2019, an increase of 19% from the relevant period last year.
“Kharkiv airport passenger traffic reached 115,200 passengers in November, up 59% compared with the relevant month last year, when the traffic was 72,600 passengers. The airport serviced 95,400 passengers on international flights; 19,800 passengers on domestic flights, an increase of 72% and 16%, respectively," said the operator company of Kharkiv Airport" New Systems AM ", which is also part of the DCH group.
In November 2019, Kharkiv airport serviced 477 flights, up 24% compared with November 2018. The most popular destinations were Sharm El-Sheikh, Kyiv, Istanbul, Kharkiv, Warsaw, Vienna, Gdansk, Sharjah, Katowice and Prague.
As Ukrinform reported, Kharkiv International Airport in the third quarter of 2019 took fourth place in the ACI Europe rating in the category of airports that handle less than 5 million passengers.
