The government intends to create needed conditions for the development of the Ukrainian army.
Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk stated this in his greeting message on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which was posted on Facebook.

"Security is one of our government's top priorities. Therefore, the defense budget for 2020 is the largest since Ukraine's independence. A record high UAH 136 billion (3% of GDP) has been envisaged for strengthening the defense sector. The government will create all conditions for steady development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he wrote.

He also thanked the Ukrainian military for its inviolability.

"The modern Ukrainian army is one of the strongest in the world. And these are you who created it, who defend Ukraine's independence every day, those gave their lives for Ukraine and those who became veterans, those who supported and support our boys and girls. Thank you all for your contribution,” Honcharuk stressed.

Today, December 6, Ukraine marks the Day of the Armed Forces.
