The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has placed former Chairman of the Management Board at VAB Bank Denys Maltsev on the wanted list, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has reported.
According to the report, Maltsev disappeared on November 21, and a measure of restraint was not chosen for him. He is charged under Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation of property or taking possession of it through abuse of office) and Part 3 of Article 209 (money laundering) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

NABU also placed Nataliya Vasylyuk, the head of the Supervisory Board at VAB Bank, on the wanted list. She disappeared on the same day as Maltsev - November 21. She is charged under Part 5 of Article 191 and Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code. A measure of restraint was not selected for her.

Former VAB Bank owner Oleg Bakhmatyuk was put on the national wanted list on November 22.

NABU approved a suspicion notice to Bakhmatyuk in the case of obtaining a UAH 1.2 billion stabilization loan from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to the NBU's press service, Bakhmatyuk owes the state UAH 29.3 billion as a whole. The amount of the debt consists of UAH 11 billion to the Deposit Guarantee Fund, which paid this amount to the depositors of the two banks – Finansova Initsiatyva and VAB Bank owned by Bakhmatyuk, UAH 10.6 billion to the NBU under refinancing loans issued to the said banks, and UAH 7.7 billion to three state-owned banks.
