Government transfers 76 more state-owned enterprises for privatization

A total of 415 out of 500 state-owned enterprises have been transferred to the State Property Fund for privatization, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk has said.
“Today we have selected other 76 state-owned enterprises for privatization. A total of 415 out of 500 state-owned enterprises that should be transferred by the end of the year have already been transferred to the State Property Fund of Ukraine. The budget can receive up to UAH 6 billion from their sale within privatization,” Honcharuk said, the Government portal reported.

A total of 339 state-owned objects were transferred from the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, and the other 76 enterprises were transferred from the sphere of management of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Infrastructure, and the State Management of Affairs - from six state bodies. Objects are located all over Ukraine.

As reported, privatization is one of the Government's priorities envisaged in the Government's Action Program. The list of state property that is subject to privatization includes large and small objects. Such objects as Titanium Institute, the Lviv State Jewelry Factory, the Skadovsk Merchant Sea Port, the Ust-Dunaisk Sea Commercial Port and many others have already been transferred.

In total, the Ministry of Economic Development has analyzed over 1,400 state-owned enterprises that can be transferred for privatization.
