The Czech Republic supports Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders and expects certain steps will be taken to restore it after the Normandy format meeting.
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš said this at a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk as part of the Ukrainian-Czech Business Forum in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I’ve come with a clear message about the steadfast and unwavering support for the Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders," Babiš said.

He has added that the Czech Republic sees no alternative for further development of the situation than the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas and the restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty.

"Therefore, we highly appreciate the steps Ukraine has taken towards a meeting in the Normandy format. We hope that the meeting on December 9 will give certain results, not just some declarations," the Czech prime minister stressed.
