Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he hopes that during the upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Forum of the Regions in Zhytomyr they will be able to better understand each other's positions.
He said this at a meeting with Ukrainian media representatives in Minsk on Thursday, September 26, according to the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA).

"I guarantee that we will find common ground with him," Lukashenko said.

He stressed that the upcoming meeting would give an opportunity not only to get to know each other personally at the human level but also to better understand and learn each other's position on certain issues.

"I promise to be honest and sincere in the conversation. This is my thing. I used to speak honestly," Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko is holding a meeting with Ukrainian media representatives on September 26. Director General of the Ukrinform National News Agency of Ukraine Oleksandr Kharchenko also arrived for the meeting with the Belarusian leader.
