President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed by phone the results of the Turkish President's visit to Russia and plans to hold a meeting of the High Level Strategic Council in Kyiv, the Ukrainian president’s press service reported.
“On Thursday, August 29, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The parties emphasized their willingness to further enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” reads the report.
It is noted that to develop the agreements reached by the parties during the official visit of the President of Ukraine to the Republic of Turkey on August 7-8, 2019, Volodymyr Zelensky and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed plans to hold a regular meeting of the High Level Strategic Council in Kyiv f this year.
In addition, according to the president’s press service, the President of Turkey informed about the results of his recent visit to the Russian Federation.
"In this context, the Turkish leader reaffirmed Ankara’s continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," the report says.
