The team of President Volodymyr Zelensky is developing three decisions that will enable the government to reduce electricity prices for industry by 20%.
President’s representative in the Cabinet of Ministers Andriy Gerus stated this at a briefing on August 19, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Three decisions should be considered that would lead to a reduction in electricity prices for commercial consumers," Gerus said.

According to him, the first decision will be the government’s resolution on changing the public service obligations (PSO) in the electricity market.

"The assignment of special obligations on Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo so that it could be increased on Ukrhydroenergo," Gerus said.

According to the president’s representative, the second resolution will be a reduction in tariffs for PJSC Ukrenergo, which will decrease electricity prices by 11%.

And the third resolution will be setting price restrictions on the intraday market and day-ahead market, he said.

Gerus also stated that all three resolutions would result in a total 20% reduction in electricity prices for all industrial consumers.
