Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the implementation of land reform in Ukraine in 2019.
"This year, we will definitely roll out land reform, which will help create a market of 40 million hectares of land next year, which is one of the best in the world in terms of quality," Zelensky said at the Ukrainian-Turkish business forum during his official visit to Turkey on August 8. "By the way, there are already Turkish companies that own [sic] land in Ukraine. It's the Onur company if I am not mistaken," he said. "I hope there will be significantly more such companies, especially in southern Ukraine, which needs the creation and development of irrigation systems. We are also considering opportunities for public-private partnerships there," he added.
