President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced a possible date for a new meeting in the so-called "Normandy format" to settle the conflict in the occupied Donbas.
He said this during a working trip to the town of Truskavets, Lviv region, on Saturday, August 3.
"Such a meeting at the level of four representatives of the Foreign Ministries of the participating countries can be held in France in late August," the president said.
About two weeks ago, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko stated that the foreign policy advisers to the leaders of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia at the next meeting in the "Normandy format" would discuss the implementation of the agreements reached at the previous meeting on July 12. Following the meeting, they will give recommendations to the heads of states.
He noted that the foreign policy advisers of the Normandy format had agreed to hold an exchange of a certain number of captives within a month.
