Ukraine has exported over 3.7 million tonnes of grain crops in 2019/2020 marketing year which started on July 1.
"Since the beginning of the current marketing year, on July 1-31, Ukraine exported over 3.7 million tonnes of grain crops. In particular, Ukraine exported almost 1.4 million tonnes of wheat (including over 0.9 million tonnes of milling wheat and over 0.4 million tonnes of fodder wheat), almost 1 million tonnes of barley and 1.3 million tonnes of corn," the press service of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
As noted, the monthly grain export figures indicate an increase in grain exports on the whole and wheat and barley exports in particular.
Thus, over 2.4 million tonnes of grain were exported over the same period last marketing year. In particular, over 1 million tonnes of wheat (including almost 0.6 million tonnes of milling wheat and over 0.4 million tonnes of fodder wheat), o.6 million tonnes of barley and 0.7 million tonnes of corn were exported.
In addition, 0.7 million tonnes of oilseeds have been exported since the start of the current MY. Over the same period last marketing year, over 0.3 million tonnes of oilseeds were exported.
As of January-June 2019, Ukrainian agricultural exports reached $10.3 billion, up 18.6% ($1.6 billion) compared to the same period in 2018. The grain exports account for 44.2% of the overall agricultural exports.
