Director of the Center for the Study of Civil Society Problems Vitalii Kulyk has said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could make a big mistake if he appointed ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of Ukraine's Odesa region Mikheil Saakashvili to any public office.

"It could be a big mistake for Zelensky if he appointed Saakashvili to any public office because this way he would repeat Poroshenko's experience. Saakashvili could start some game, make several mistakes – and then be fired. And then he would become the president's worst enemy. I don't know who would be a greater enemy for Saakashvili – Poroshenko or Zelensky. I hope Zelensky is more far-sighted in such moves," the expert told the Ukrainian news outlet Glavred.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Saakashvili's Ukrainian citizenship was reinstated by President Zelensky after the previous Ukrainian leader stripped the ethnic Georgian of his Ukrainian passports on the grounds of filing inaccurate data while appealing for it.
