President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a visit to Canada held a meeting with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, the president’s press service reports.
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Kurt Volker for everything he personally and the Administration of U.S. President Donald Trump do to help Ukraine.
The president stressed that Ukraine fully supported the political and diplomatic way of resolving the conflict in Donbas. This is evidenced by the "re-launch" of the work of Ukrainian representatives in the Trilateral Contact Group, steps towards the intensification of the Normandy format and the disengagement of forces and equipment in Stanytsia Luhanska.
At the same time, Russia does not show goodwill to resolve the conflict. In particular, the Russian Federation did not support the so-called “harvest ceasefire” suggested by Ukraine; shelling continues, including of medical vehicles; the work of the OSCE SMM is restricted in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas.
