Ukrainian presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky plan to meet with French President Emanuel Macron in Paris on April 12.
Spokesperson for Poroshenko's campaign headquarters Oleh Medvedev said this at a a briefing on Wednesday, April 10, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"I know that Zelensky will probably be in Paris on Friday [April 12] and will have a meeting with Macron. Petro Poroshenko should be in Paris on the same day and will also meet with Macron," he said.
According to him, the French side coordinated with the Ukrainian side the issue of a meeting between Macron and Zelensky through diplomatic channels.
In this context, Medvedev noted that, according to Poroshenko, it would be useful for Zelensky to "leave the sphere of show business and dive a little into the world of real politics, including the international one, and begin to gain some kind of experience."
Medvedev added that on April 12 Poroshenko also plans to visit Germany and hold talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
