Makedonski premijer Zoran Zaev i njegov grčki kolega Alekis Cipras zvanično su kandidati za Nobelovu nagradu za mir, objavila je makedonska vlada. Premijer Zaev je u ponedeljak primio pismo dobitnice Nobelove nagrade za mir 2015. godine, Ouided Bouchamaoui, u kojem je najavljeno da je poslala pismo Odboru za Nobelovu nagradu za mir u kome Zaeva i Ciprasa imenuje kao predlog za kandidate za ovu nagradu za 2019. godinu.

Bouchamaoui je navela da je Sporazum iz Prespe, potpisan u junu prošle godine, model za mirno i konstruktivno rešenje spora između dve susedne zemlje, koje može služiti za primer Balkanu i široj regiji.

Ona je istakla da je Prespanski sporazum pokazao da su razgovori, pozitivna energija, odlučnost i osjećaj za dobrosusedstvo ključni za rešavanje svih pitanja, bez obzira na "pritisak nacionalista sa bilo koje strane".
