Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan promised on Monday to eliminate all the militants from the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS, outlawed in Russia - TASS) in neighboring Syria in the near future, the Turkish leader said during his speech in Istanbul.

"Turkey will destroy Daesh (the Arabic name for IS) soon. We will also establish security, stability and peace on the territories east of the Euphrates in the near future," he said.
