Ukraine purchases Bayraktar TB2, the combat drones developed by Turkish designers; they can carry missiles and are capable of engaging the naval targets. Petro Poroshenko, the Ukrainian leader said this during his working visit to Volyn region, as Interfax reported.

'These are the tactical UAVs; apart from their high technological features, they also can be armed with high-precision missile load to destroy the armored vehicles, engineering structures and fortifications. They can also be used to destroy the naval targets', the head of the state said.

'Now, I can admit: over the past 2.5 years of embargo on lethal arms supplies, no one sold us any weapons. We protected the state within our own means, all by our own', he added.

According to Poroshenko, currently, Ukraine gets the spare parts for the missiles. The President added that Ukraine tested cruise missiles and attack drones and modernized its aircraft.

Bayraktar TB2 are capable to develop the maximum speed of 222 km per hour. The effective flight range makes 150 kilometers; it can be armed with anti-tank guided missiles and aviation bombs.
