Two Russian strategic missile carrier bomber Tu-160 and military transport aircraft An-124 Ruslan arrived in Venezuela. This is reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

“Two Tu-160 strategic missile carriers, an An-124 heavy military transport aircraft and an IL-62 long-range aircraft of the Aerospace Forces flew from airfields in the Russian Federation to the Maiquetia International Airport of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The purpose of the arrival of Russian military aircraft at the airport Maiquetia is not reported.

At the same time, it is noted that earlier the Russian Tu-160 visited Venezuela in September 2008 and in October-November 2013. These aircraft are capable of carrying cruise missiles with a nuclear warhead.

We recall that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published a video where Russian bombers inflict airstrikes on ISIS in northeastern Syria.
