After a five-year break, Ukraine and France have resumed the work of the interstate commission on military and technical cooperation.
The relevant agreements were reached during a visit to France by a delegation of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine headed by Deputy Defense Minister Anatoliy Petrenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“During the visit, after a five-year break, the work of the Ukrainian-French joint interstate commission in the field of weapons and military equipment has been resumed,” the Embassy of Ukraine in France reported.
Following the results of the meeting, the necessary conditions were created to ensure effective cooperation between the Ukrainian side and the General Directorate for Armaments of the Ministry of Armed Forces of the French Republic and interested enterprises of the French defense industry in order to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with high-tech models of modern military equipment.
The visit took place as part of the implementation of the Ukrainian-French political agreements.
