President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the leaders of Ukraine and Lithuania share common views regarding the ways to end the war in Donbas.
The Ukrainian president said this at a joint briefing with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda in Vilnius, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"I informed President Nausėda about the current situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine and steps taken to prepare for the Normandy meeting on December 9. I am glad that our views on the ways to end the war fully coincide," Zelensky said.
According to Zelensky, the parties agreed on the unity between Kyiv and Vilnius on both bilateral and international agendas.
In addition, Zelensky thanked Lithuania for its firm and unwavering support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
"It is very important for us; it is a priority for us. We see a clear understanding by Lithuania that international pressure and sanctions must be retained until the full de-occupation of all Ukrainian territories and the release of all our political prisoners," the Ukrainian president emphasized.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is on an official visit to Lithuania.
