The General Committee on Political Affairs and Security of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has adopted a resolution calling for the de-occupation of Crimea and the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from Ukraine.
The resolution entitled “Advancing Sustainable Development to Promote Security: The Role of Parliaments” was adopted at a committee meeting as part of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s 28th Annual Session in Luxembourg on Saturday.
"The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly ... calls for the cessation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine and a complete withdrawal of heavy weapons by all parties. The OSCE PA urges to put an end to the use of anti-personnel mines and to increase contribution to demining efforts, ensure the de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, provide the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from the Ukrainian territory and a comprehensive settlement of the conflict on the basis of the Minsk agreements, in particular, the obligations, which were not fulfilled by the Russian Federation,” paragraph 21 of the resolution says.
